The goal of EKUWP is to support and promote best practices in teaching writing through a model of professional development centering on teachers teaching teachers. The project enhances and sustains leadership in writing and the teaching of writing through summer institutes, study groups, conferences, and other professional development activities. EKUWP is jointly funded by the Kentucky Department of Education and The National Writing Project.
During every Summer Institute, we encourage Teacher Participants to look for deeper meaning to writing in their own classrooms. To accomplish this we have developed an annual list of books for teacher disscusion groups to choose from, the following attachment is that list with hyperlinks to Amazon for descrpitions and reviews of these books. Enjoy for your own classroom.
